When I first met that kid begging he must be 5, right in front of “Standard Chartered” bank. He had a few chewing gums in his hand that he wanted to sell. Initially I shooed him off. Later on when I saw him at the same spot, I told him….(while buying some gums)

“Your parents should be ashamed to have sent you out for begging”.

Each time he kept quite. Recently in winters when I saw the same kid without shoes and warm clothing I said…

“Your parents have sent you in this attire just that you can make more money”.
To which for the first time he quite innocently said

“ No, No!!! My father is dead, I will have shoes and a jumper tomorrow, my mom has given my shoes and the jumper to my sister for today, tomorrow I will get them back, we take turns”

I was quite shocked with his answer, whether it was the truthfulness, or the naiveness, or the shame that I could spend thousands of rupees in self indulgence where as this kid did not have bare necessities of life.

vry touching..i wrote an essay about that to USC (university of southern california)..and i told well actually iwrote that medicine is lacking in areas where poverty is growing..an i described about poverty in india..and stuff..lol

this probably is my last post on bwh!

There are so many reasons for leaving bwh, bwh is a very sweet place. It was nice knowing u all, I dont have enough time to tell the reasons. One of the major reasons, i have been called with very cheap names from a very senior member of bwh, i've been told to go to hell, i've been told that i suck at debate. (by more than one member), i've been told that im disgusting, the person even dragged my family into the convo, etc, etc! Not that im running away cuz im scared or something but im so not comfortable on here anymore, (imagine! ppl find u quite irritating and ur hated) I would give anything in the world to make it comportable for me. How much more can one take, sometimes life slaps you around and a sense of innocence is gone forever.
I also realize that at times i have been quite rude to many, for which i do apologise.

Today is such a boring day, actually the moment i opened my eyes in the morning, i knew i'll have another boring day.....

Anyways!
while at work i came across this daily news paper, where i read a comment by an american journalist in Daily news that really upset me---that all iraqi children should be killed. When someone responded that they're innocent, she replied that Saddam and other terrorists were children once. Granted she was probably a low life no brain ***** but still...really sad that shes not the only one who thinks like that. The fact that Bush won TWICE just shows the mentality of America. That makes me think that americans are civilized butchers. they kill magar pyar se. they think its their God given right to invade, rape, kill and burn anybody they want. who will ask? afterall they are the super powers.
I often see on T.V their way of treating different ethic groups especially foreigners, so last year i questioned my "american" cousin about this... he said "in last 17 years of my stay in USA, I dont remember a single time where a respectful and responsible american ever discriminated me". So i thought that its always about *me* isn't it. if its ok with "me" then it will be ok with everyone, you (me) have not suffered anything but what about those that are in jail cuz they were *termed* as terrorists, no charges laid, no rights to a trail aswell, what was their fault then? but then again when everything is ok in *my* world, everything will be ok in *everyones* world as well.

ooooohh i love internet, it has become a very important part of my life..... its ruling my life... simply cant live without it..... if there is no internet on this earth, i would rather prefer to die.. but wait, lemme think, is this silly thingy called internet powerful enough to play with my feelings? no ways!

sometimes im at work, and im chatting using my cellphone and i come across this funny chat or convo and i laugh out loud and my colleagues think im mad or somethin, how could this little thing make me sad and could help me change my mood at the same time.... well its cuz they have got life, i dont, i admit today that im a social loser, i neva had any physical friends or any physical life, i only relayed on internet to make me happy, to share my lil tiny life, it was my bestest buddy, it still is....

something i learned in life is that life is not fair, it will not be fair, you can not make it fair, you have to do the best you can knowing that it is unfair, sometimes it suck, and my mind is like full of different thoughts, echoes and demons, I just deal with me demons in the dark, I deal with them alone, and then I push them back into the dark depths from where they haunt me, and face a new day with a (fake) smile on my face, and enternal sunshine around me. Life is short, but i still cant make the most of it, there will be bumps on the way, some big, some small..but the fact that you are on the road to begin with, and you have a future should be enough to thank the creator, and look at the scenery and the road ahead rather than focusing on better cars on the road, cars ahead of you, or looking in your rear view mirror at the potholes you have already hit or dodged. In real life there will be many people richer than you, better looking than you, more accomplished than you, smarter than you, but.. they will not be YOU. know who you are, be proud of who you are, be happy with who you are....
but wish i had realized it lil earlier in my life.....
