Desi or...

western? now this is a GENERAL question, its a bit obvious that ppl are likely to wear traditional clothing on special occasions etc, but which do U prefer, generally speaking?

i love tradional clothes...but i live in Turkey so i cant wear it neither on special occasion nor on daily life....
but i wish to wear a sareeee so mucch.....:)

Awww, well its just like living in london i guess, but they're are alot of asians down here overall, so i guess alot of occassions are expected now n then

Uh yea, I like normal clothes... or "western" as you referred to it...

Western for daily life... but i love it wen i wear traditional for special occasions... coz its awesome... and ya have all these filmi type dresses lool.... and 2nd it gives you nice feeling *PRIDE*... whereaz if i lived in india i wouldnt mind wearing salwaar kurtaz most of time... but then again i would get sick of it...

see my daddy at firstt well like yearss back...preferred me 2 wear Desi clothes...and i did...woreee western in skool though...buttttt dat was like sometime backkk like couple years...butttt noww he doesnt care...mummy and daddy like me wearing western clothes...before daddy never used 2 like it...butttt noww its likee omg whyy dont u wear western clothes...soo yeahh i do wear western in college and stufff...buttt am sick offf it...no kidddingg all dis week am wearing ma desi clothes...i love them...and am sooo comfortable in them...am justt sooo blooodyyy sick offf wearinggg western clothes...

i gett into trubleee for wearing it lol cozzz its like freezinggg and soo colddd everyone like wear western clothes...buttt to be honestt i aint a big fan of them...and i live in England u expect me 2 wear western all da time lol...nopee i prefer desi...but i do wear it now and then...

actullly i read over it...and what i did writee was right...i didnt mention am not fan of desi clothes..i said am not fan of western clothes but i dont really like wearing it...but i do wear it now and then to college...

well here it s too hard to find any asian...at least in the area where i live...everyone loves jeans.....and t-shirt...and in the office classical suits and skirts.....

Lol awwwwwww cute, yeah i see what u mean, its just like that in my area, its all whites, pretty quiet to, u gotta walk half a mile to get to the corner shop!! :( but overall london does have alot of asians, so

well....i like wearing western clothes but my parents want me to wear desi clothes so at home i wear desi clothes and when i go outside i usually wear western clothes, cause otherwise were i live thers no asian ppl so everyone just stares at you when you go up town wearing desi clothes which i hate....

Oh right awww, yeah i know what u mean, see thats the thing when it comes to parents, they have their ways which they like u to follow, and yeah thats what u gotta do at the end of the day i guess *it's all for the best* My parents dont mind me wearing western clothing as long as they're satisfied to the extent that its not revealing, they're ok with it. Western clothing is all i wear unless theres an event, or im going to someone's house, occassions etc
