Controversies Controversies. Stars hate them, magazines love them, we are just curious about them! So what is this one about? It is about our King Khan and his strange relationship with the young charming star of Gurinder Chadha's Bride And Prejudice - Aishwarya Rai.
It all started when Aishwarya Rai captured the mind of bollywood hunk Salman Khan. Everything was fine in Khan's fairy tale land until his relationship with Aishwarya Rai hit the rocks. Shahrukh Khan who had nothing to do with this romantic soap opera was dragged into the dirt when Salman Khan decided to pay Miss Rai a visit during the shooting of SRK's production Chalte Chalte. Rumours had it that apparently Salman got drunk and misbehaved with Aishwarya; and, when Shahrukh tried to intervene, he was greeted with abuse and threats by the aggrieved lover. You know the usual Bollywood filmi stuff.
The consequence? SRK kicked Aishwarya from the film, replacing her with Rani Mukherjee. This gave away to a verbal battle between ex-Miss World and Baadshah of tinsel town. "My film was getting affected. As a producer I did completely right and there are no apologies for that," said Shahrukh. Ash hit it hard by saying "Shahrukh Khan may be the greatest in his field, but he has a long way to go as a human being." Ouch!
Following which yet another Khan was involved with Ms. Rai. Aishwarya Rai was once again kicke...erm...terminated from Aamir Khan's "The Rising" because of well, unknown reasons. [Hint: It has something to do with money] What did the princess with a adorable chuckle say? "I opted out of 'The Rising' not because of money. I'm not greedy. I did 'Chokher Bali' virtually for free" Of course!
Come 2004, Yash Chopra's Veer Zaara is releasing soon. Did you know Aishwarya Rai was the original choice for the lead? The director then chose Rani because...yes you're right.
Then all of a sudden the gup-shup was that Aishwarya Rai patched up with SRK! Lets ask him. "I know stories were written about the ‘silent battle’ between the two of us, but truly it was all misread by her and everyone else. At that point of time, the way things happened made me uncomfortable. I mean, any one would be! In fact, she would have been more uncomfortable than I was. I was just feeling a little odd to communicate with her knowing the things that were going on in her life, but as long as they are settled, or even if they are not, I am no longer uncomfortable. We've even spoken after that and worked in a show together. It's a thing of the past". When asked about the patch-up Ash replied, “Yes I have finally broken the ice with him. He spoke to me during my world tour. And I recently met him at Subhash Ghai's party. We share a pleasant camaraderie.”

I dunno why people keep saying girls hate aish cause they're jealous! women LOVE beautiful actresses, cause we admire them. I mean i adore beautiful actresses, but girls also look at their talent and personality, we don't like to admire someone who's a total snob. Guys don't care about the personality, they care about just ash's looks, and they forget everything else. Since we have no interest in fantasizing about her, we care about her personality too. I mean if I was just jealous of beautiful actresses why would I like priyanka? Anjelina Jolie, Nicole kidman etc. Ash's personality is what turned me off from me, i used to like her, it was her consistent snobbish attitude, and also she's so overhyped about her acting (she's such a mediocre actress), and also how she treats people is the reason i started disliking her. ash is truly such a white wannabe. If dark is so ugly then why are 2 of the darker Miss Indias (sushmita and Lara) are the ones who became miss universe? And from the guys I know, they find the tanned brown actresses like Priyanka, and bipasha pretty damn hot. Loving pure white skin is stuff our parents generation were brought up with. In the old days, actresses were even dolled up to be white in Indian cinema, now actresses flaunt their dark skin, cause guess what... tan skin is beautiful! theres a reason why every white person goes out in the sun to get tanned!! and guess what we are BROWN. If asians are proud of their eyes, black people proud of their skin color, why do we have to ashamed of being brown? Its people like akkstar who we should be ashamed of, who still go on with the "white is more supreme" attitude. Ash has that similar attitude, thus she made that comment in that interview about it only being an asian magazine. She thinks she's above indian people now just cause she made a loreal ad and did 1 english movie. But she's gonna realize sooner or later, if she betrays her own people and starts acting white and being fake, she's not gonna have alot of supporters. you know the saying, "dhobi ka kutta, na ghar ka na ghat ka". ok. i dont think u know this...but at cannes film festival and lot of other events. the designer decide what the celebrities are gonna wear..so aish did not have that option..othawise she would have...again a perfect example...of.. how SO MANY OF U A READY TO BELIEVE NYTHING ...b4 knowin tha facts first! pitty

You are not getting it at all.
Firstly, it is not her fault that shes fair.
Secondly, it's also not her fault that shes being recognized in the west..getting all these offers and endorsement campaigns while sushmita and lara are not!.
Thirdly, I never said that dark plp or brown plp are ugly. check back at the post i made..i said that there is a stereotype towards fair women...fair en lovely?.
