I think am more of a Creationist and a evolutionists. I say that because I belive
that creation of the universe or living things around us has all been brought up
by god itself. But then again we cannot discover by scientific investigations anything about the creative processes used by the Creator.

Second part: On another point, the Bible does say that Serpents once walked... hence, hip bones, but I realize that this is not a scientific explanation so here's one. I think it is pretty obvious that micro-evolution is evident daily. With every birth of an organism, things are different. No person can deny that, but what about Macro evolution. Study neuroscience, or genetic science and you have to ask yourself one question. Since the first law of thermodynamics works against the upward evolutionary scale, how is it that an organism as complex as the human being can even exist.

The origin of the universe is described in the Qur'an in the following verse:

"He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth."(The Qur'an, 6:101)

This information given in the Qur'an is in full agreement with the findings of contemporary science. The conclusion that astrophysics has reached today is that the entire universe, together with the dimensions of matter and time, came into existence as a result of a great explosion that occurred in no time. Before the Big Bang, there was no such thing as matter. This fact, only recently discovered by modern physics, was announced to us in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago.



The sensitive sensors on board the COBE space satellite which was launched by NASA in 1992, captured evidentiary remnants of the Big Bang. This discovery served as evidence for the Big Bang, which is the scientific explanation of the fact that the universe was created from nothing.
