lonely avenue

I was sitting by the
corner of lonley avenue
when she passed by
one spring afternoon

she gazed at me
then she smiled
smiled the sweetest smile
I've ever seen

then just as she came
she was now gone,
she turned left on the
boulevard of memories

even tho it lasted just for second
in that moment, she was
inside me and I in her.
for a single second
we shared the same soul


and as the night embraced the day
i could still see her smile
in the setting sun.

when the new rising sun woke me
the next day, i couldn't quite figure out
whether it all was only
just a dream in a dream

but then again, does it realy matter?
