I was reading the latest- March 6 , Newsweek thats has the article "The New India" .

The article gave some very interesting facts , something we Indians probably already guessed but its good to read it in print.

Newsweek

"Indians come from one of the best - educated groups in the United States with 66.7% of adults over 25 holding at least a bachelors degree, compared with the National average of 27%, according to the U.S Census bureau. They're also earning more :their median household income of $67,424 per year is top among ethnic groups."
There are only 2.4 million Indians living in the U.S as per this article . A small but succesfull bunch !!http://www.india-forums.com/smileys/smiley17.gif

"Indians abroad have played a crucial role in opening up the mother Country. They return to India with money , investment ideas, global standards, and most important a sense that one could achive anything"

The article goes on to describe how fast India is growing .Its the second fastest growing nation currently in the World , the first being China .Its the most popular country to invest in just behind China and has passed the U.S.
"Foreign investments isn't the only thing driving growth. Homegrown successes like tech companies Infosys and Wipro and Wipro, and industrial conglomerate Tata, rank with the most prestigious companies in the World."

I enjoyed this article and wanted your opinions on it .

dun think most of indians go to US... must be arund 2% of indian population....and for studies its very much less...not even 1% ... most of them go for work and earning...and 60% of them dont even return back.... india is getting funds from foreign investments... thats in trade not the NRIs who invest ... the figure is very less
bhootni is rt... those who go to study most of them tend to stay there and earn...
the ones staying abroad help indian enconomy by 1-5% i wuld say.. not more then that
and abt ppl returning from abroad.. i dun think they r so much tht... cause i believe the education system in india is good ..and ppl have achieved so much in india itself..and even the ones who study in india and go abroad... most of them have been successful

in short INDIA RAWKS!
