A few days before the Oscar awards ceremony, news surfaced that the committee had invited Aishwarya Rai to present one of the awards for the winners. Many Indian viewers eagerly watched the telecast to see Aishwarya Rai on the stage but, they were disappointed.

The Oscar committee had clarified that the list of presenters is ready at least two months before the show. The committee has also said that it doesn't resort to last-minute changes. Finally, they have added that they never invited Aishwarya Rai for the ceremony at all!!!

After some investigations here in the local media, the truth is now out that the actress herself had started those lies, like all those stories about her Hollywood films.

This Indian lady has taken on the world already; another feather in her cap has been added now. Aishwarya has been invited by the academy of motion pictures and Sciences to present an Oscar on February 27. This is the first for anybody in Indian Cinema But well there is a hitch in her being present on this lifetime opportunity.

She will be busy shooting for Gurinder Chadha's husband Paul Berges' Mistress of Spices at the Isle of Man (located in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland) on the night before the ceremony.

Ash's schedule with Paul on the Isle of Man ends on Saturday night and she will try to get to US on the same night. Whether the lady will make it or not, well, that is for all the nation to wait and watch.
