After viewing the thread of Ruby , this has encouraged me to write something for you out of my Experience which can help you do well academically as most of us are students...
I heartly invite all of you ppl's comments and suggestions..
Scheduling is something very very important and Planners are Achievers..
Nobody can be motivated all the time. We all need time to rest, relax, play, etc. We sometimes say, "work hard and play hard." So, you set a small goal, something you know you can achieve, like studying a chapter and doing the problem sets and getting all the answers in the problem set right (if you miss some, you set it aside and try it again the next day until you can do it). When you have accomplished that, you do something to celebrate...watch a movie, or make your favorite dinner, or ask your mom to make your favorite dessert. It doesn't have to be a big thing, but just something to say, "I accomplished my goal and I deserve a reward for it." Then, you also set slightly bigger goals. These are ones that are also realistic, but will take a little more time and effort to accomplish. Maybe when you get 1/4 of the way through your textbook, or 1/2 of the way through it, and have succeeded in learning many chapters. Now you can give yourself a nicer reward. Go to a party with your friends, or take a whole day off to do something special...whatever that might be for you. This gives you something to look forward to that keeps you working toward that goal. Now, sometimes we have to just celebrate the unexpected victories too. If you manage to do a problem set perfectly on your first try, you deserve to jump around and be happy

I think this is the bet schedule for an student i can think of..
Give yourself a full 8 hours of sleep, plus an additional hour to get ready for sleep at night and an hour in the morning to wake up, have breakfast, and mentally prepare to tackle the day. Also, give yourself a full hour for lunch and the same for dinner. Meals and sleep are important for learning and you need to take breaks to rest your mind and relax between studying. This leaves you with 12 hours. But, it's also summertime and you'd be miserable if you never had time to go outside or visit with friends, or whatever it is that you like to do. So, you can make studying your "job." Spend 8 hours a day on studying, and leave the other 4 hours as flexible time. Every schedule has to have flexibility in it. Now, you can spend two blocks of 4 hours each studying, and you can do that in the morning, the afternoon or the evening. If you have a time that is best for you to study, when your mind is the clearest, make sure that's one of your blocks you set aside for studying. For example, I think best in the afternoon, so I do the work that requires the most thought after lunch and until dinner time.
You don't have to stick with the same two blocks of time every day either. If you don't have any other plans one day and have really found a subject fascinating, just keep right on studying it, but if you usually study in the afternoon and a friend invites you to do something in the afternoon one day, go see your friend and instead study in the morning and the evening. If you don't include this flexibility, you'll be sitting in the afternoon thinking about wanting to be with your friend rather than thinking about your studies. You can learn a LOT in 8 hours a day, and it will be more effective to spend 8 hours when you can really focus clearly than it is to spend 18 hours of forcing yourself to sit at a desk when your mind will start wandering a lot.

You should have an prority for what you study..
One "time management" technique I can tell you about is to assign numbers to your daily tasks. The numbers are to represent how important each task is. So a task assigned a 1 is something that must be done; a task assigned a 2 must be done if at all possible, a 3 is something that can be dropped if necessary, and a 4 is something you'd like to do but isn't all that important.
The reason for the numbers is for those days when things don't go as planned, or when you have too many tasks to finish, and so you have to decide what to do first; always choosing to do the highest numbers first is the most likely way to stay ahead of the game. Keep a list that you update each morning, and move things you didn't get done in the current day to the next day or some later date where it fits.

One great thing which i can say and which can help you is that...
Instead of Planning out a chunk of time,Plan the works which are to be done.Dont mould yourself in such a way that you will always study for 2 hours instead assign the work you have to complete...that is you have to finish the 4 pages of the book and then you can enjoy. The point is that planning should not focus on time but on the amount of work indeed.Always set up an reasonable task and set up them according to Priorities..
I think sometimes people in a panic need to calm down and think things out for themselves. If somebody else solves it for them every time, then they will get used to always looking to others for what they actually can handle.
So guys its all up..
I have wasted my Plain 2 hours even though i have an exam tommorow.
This is an BWH Forum but i feel most of peoples are my friends here and all of them are students.i think this is highly grateful for me if i can ever come up with any kind of help for you guys ,So i guess i have helped in the slightest.
Cheers
With Deep Regards

Thanks for the complement Anuj but i am just an ordinary guy from IIT..My time is surely gonna come,,ohh i have to bring it.
Well i can say one thing...Brain doesn't decide the fate of the person.
Its attitude,,
Each person on this Earth has same neurons, same grey cells....each person has the same consciousness as Buddha,Mahavira,Gandhi or any body existed on the Earth.
Well i would like to quote two golden rules of greatast genius,Newton:
1.He said he could see forward because he stood on the shoulder of giants.
2.If everybody would think as hard as I,they will get similar results.....
Man its not luck, fate or anything..He became Newton because he has to.
but Why i am comparing mortals to gods...
and going far why i am talking about scientists here,This is an BWH forum,
So lets see it in other way
I have a few arguments:
Galileo is an idiot for not leaving Italy.
Keppler is an idiot for not collaborating with Galileo.
Newton is an idiot for being an arrogant prick.
Gauss is an idiot for being an anti-social/arrogant prick.
Archimedes is an idiot for refusing to follow a soldiers orders.
History is full of idiots.
Sorry King,,I just start
Its just i can go on and on..
....I could not avoid it
,,But from next time i will try to prevent myself from writing any crap here,
Its like playing tennis in cricket field.
Because you guys are not interested in talking abt these things,,and my mind revolves around such kind of things.
Most of you guys live in US,UK,Australia...I don't have any right to say anything because it's obvious you must have had seen more of life than me.

Hey man,you rock! I know how hard it is to get into IIT because my school topper couldn't get in...I know what is wrong and what is right...it's just that I get distracted too quickly.Maybe I need to be stern with myself and not do what I feel like doin even though there are more important things on my list. Not enough effort as they say.
